What Is Yogurt Bread
Are you a bread lover? If yes, then what about vanilla-flavored yogurt bread? Did you ever make it at home? I love to make different kinds of bread, but the experience of making yogurt bread is fantastic.
It is a type of bread that mixes yogurt in the bread batter instead of yeast. The yogurt is a leavening agent and helps to make the bread rise well without yeast. Surprising, right?’ I knew it softens the dough but a leavening effect was definitely shocking.
The vanilla flavor yogurt adds additional taste and moisture to the bread. You can easily make this bread recipe with just two main ingredients, flour and yogurt.
But you can also add other ingredients such as eggs, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and melted butter to add more flavor and texture to the bread.
Needed Ingredients
Which ingredients are required to make delicious homemade bread?
All Purpose Flour
This is the major ingredient that provides the consistency and smoothness to the bread.
Vanilla Yogurt
Vanilla yogurt gives an extra kick to your bread recipe. For instance, enhances the taste, gives moisture to the bread, and helps to produce a flaky texture.
Baking powder
Baking powder performs as a leavening agent, making the bread rise and become super fluffy easily.
Baking Soda
Baking soda also acts as a leavening agent, increases the pH of the dough, and helps to make the bread light and fluffy.
Salt
Salt binds the dough threads and enhances the flavor or strength of your bread batter.
Brown Sugar
If you add a little bit of sweetness to your bread and make a tea-time snack then brown sugar is the best option. It is optional, you can skip it too.
Melted Butter
Melted butter helps to make your bread super soft and tender, and gives rich flavor to bread batter.
Vanilla Essence
The role of vanilla essence in bread is to provide a taste and good smell.
Eggs
Eggs act as a natural stabilizer and increase the shelf life of bread because they decrease the quantity of water.
Variations In Yogurt Bread
What are some possible variations we can add to our bread? One of the best things about this bread is, how adjustable it is.
The first time I made this bread for my seven-month-old niece by adding banana paste. But you can make it with your favorite fruit.
Select The Best Toppings To Enhance The Flavour Of Bread
The best toppings must elevate the taste of your bread. You can spread the blueberry paste, cream cheese, and honey or sprinkle the coconut flavored sugar on top of the bread. Cinnamon powder or fruit jam is also the best option.
Take Your Taste Buds Up With Unique Mix-ins
To make the best homemade bread you can add the purée or chunks of your favorite fruit like blueberry, banana, orange zest, lemon zest, and fresh cherries.
The walnuts or chocolate chips also enhance the taste of your bread. Tell me which mix-ins are your favorite.?
