5-minutes Spicy Caesar Dressing
Do you also get this urge to make your favorite food at home which you once ate at a takeout? Well, the same happened to me when I tried Spicy Caesar dressing drizzled over salad in a restaurant nearby.
Although it was nearby but still going there every other day isn’t on my to-do list. So I gave it a try and surprisingly it turned out pretty amazing.
My brother loved it which boosted my confidence as he’s a bit picky when it comes to food especially made by me. (Just siblings things, duh)
Now it’s made quite frequently in our home for dinner as it makes a delicious dip with side meals and is perfectly served with the main course. I love serving along with grilled chicken, believe me the combined taste notes are just divine.
I’m literally in awe of how conveniently it can be made and make the simple lettuce flavorful and creamy. You can be creative with toppings and add some pickled red onions, mushrooms, walnuts, or avocado for flavor uplift.
In this guide, we will delve deeper into Spicy caesar dressing, why you will love it, its recipe, ingredient formulation, variation, serving, storage, and other handy tips.
Why You Will Like Spicy Caesar Dressing?
- If you want your salads with an extra heat? Then this spicy Caesar dressing is for you.
- It’s convenient to prepare, you just need to pulse the ingredients together and the dressing is ready.
- It’s not bland like typical salad dressing and will make a delicious dip with other snacks.
- The ingredients are widely available and don’t put quite a strain on your budget.
Ingredients In Spicy Caesar Dressing
To make up this spicy Caesar dressing, you simply need to toss all these ingredients together and then it will be ready in no time.
Mayonnaise
In several recipes, you might need to add egg yolk and oil but both these when combined and added to the recipe become mayonnaise.
So I’ll be simply adding mayo from a reputable brand but make sure it is organic as these are made from vegetable oil.
Garlic
If you are adding fresh garlic, then only one fully pressed clove will suffice. But if you prefer, you can add garlic powder as well.
Spices
You can add just a pinch of salt, but I believe several condiments already contain salt. Additional salt won’t be required much but it’s up to your choice.
However, add pepper and cumin powder for a nice flavor and spice kick.
Worcestershire Sauce
Just add a few dollops of this Worcestershire sauce to enhance the overall taste of spicy Caesar dressing. The sauce makes the dressing taste umami making it rich and hard to identify notes but delectable.
But if you are seafood allergic then be careful while using this sauce as it contains anchovies.
However, several Worcestershire sauces are made without anchovies choose those. Be careful as it contains soy as well which is a common allergen.
Grated Parmesan Cheese
I’ll be using vegan parmesan cheese here as most of the brands use animal rennet in their manufacturing. It provides the dressing rich umami flavor with its signature cheesy texture.
Lime Juice
As the sauce is already getting too tangy we will add just a slight amount of lime juice.
Thai Chilli Paste/Sambal
It’s an intense Indonesian paste that gives an authentic shrimp taste. This delicious yet spicy condiment imparts robust Flavor into recipes. The condiment is made up of garlic, shallots, and dried chilies.
Variations In Spicy Caesar Dressing
Well don’t you think, this umami-flavored dressing is too lit for just salads, so I have come up with several variations where you can use it in other stuff:
- Drizzle this dressing on a burger or a roasted beef sandwich.
- It tastes well as a dip with nuggets and chicken fingers.
- Substitute this sauce with simple mayonnaise you add into pasta salads and potato dishes.
- You can even serve it with your breakfast, no matter its savory croissants or scrambled eggs as spicy Caesar dressing makes a nice sauce.
Servings With Spicy Caesar Dressing
The perfect serving with spicy Caesar dressing is present along with Caesar salad:
- For the salad you require Romaine lettuce, so remove the wilted leaves, rinse properly, and dry it completely.
- Cut the dried leaves into equal bite sizes and put them into a large mixing bowl.
- Drizzle some sauce and add some croutons.
- Mix well using tongs and garnish with grated parmesan cheese.
- But again this salad would be understated if served only as a side meal.
- Serve it with either grilled steak to make a wholesome dinner.
- But if you are just in the mood for a light luncheon, Serve it along with soft spongy breadsticks.
How to Store Spicy Caesar Dressing?
If you no longer need spicy caeser dressing, you can simply store it for later use.
- Pour the dressing into an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator. It will stay fresh for two days.
- Although the dressing won’t go stale after two days, the taste will become so intense on the edge of being pungent.
- When you are ready to use dressing, shake well so there’s no sublimation and everything well combined.
