Ingredients Details
The essential key ingredients in beef tomatoes are very simple and primary. You don’t even want to go to an expensive food mart to pick up whatsoever.
Boneless Beef Strips
Simply I bought a flank steak piece it’s a long flat and fat-free part of beef from the butcher, and cut it into small strips.
Soy Sauce
I used light sauce, in my beef tomato, it gives umami and a little bit of salty flavor to my dish. Everyone knows that it’s a Chinese sauce, it’s the best sauce if you marinate, season, and sauté something. People mostly use this sauce when they make rice, noodles, and meat.
Fresh Garlic & Ginger
I used fresh chopped garlic and ginger in my beef tomato because fresh garlic & ginger always taste better. It also mild the smell of beef and when it’s sautéed with beef and vegetables it gives a sweet, nuttier, and spicy flavor and elevates the flavor of a dish.
Salt & Pepper
I used black pepper, you can use white pepper as well. You can add salt and pepper to beef tomato according to your taste buds. Both spices enhance the flavor of your dish.
Baking Soda
I dissolved the baking soda in water and made the baking soda solution. This solution adds in beef strips to tenderize the beef. This tip is an ancient Chinese secret. The chefs in restaurants and home cooks in their houses used this effective method to tenderize the meat.
Believe me, this is a most effective technique, it makes your beef most tender and juicy and you don’t even need to steam your beef and pressurize it for hours. The alkaline nature of baking soda stops the beef from tightening up entirely when fried.
This means the slighter juice of beef is squashed out and the muscle fibers continue to set free. This means you get super soft and juicy beef without exhausting yourself.
Chilli Sauce
I used chili sauce in making beef tomato gravy. This chilly sauce helps to make your beef gravy in a sweet and tangy taste.
Butter & Olive Oil
I used the combo of butter and oil to sauté the beef strips and vegetables. It elevates the taste of a dish, you can use oil and butter according to your preference.
Spring Onion & White Onion
I have added spring onions and white onions to my beef tomatoes. Spring onions add a beautiful touch to this dish, and white onions enhance the taste.
Green Chillies And Bell Pepper
Green chilies and bell peppers add some spice to the beef tomato recipe and give a very fresh and earthy taste.
