For this salsa, you can use fresh corn, canned corn, or frozen sweet corn. But you should follow these steps before using any type of corn.

  • If you’re using fresh corn, boil it first with water, salt, and sugar. 
  • And if you’re using frozen corn, thaw it first. 
  • And if you’re using canned corn, make sure to drain the excess water. This will make your salsa even more delicious.

Red Onion 

Red onion is indeed a very important and beautiful part of salsa. I’m glad if you used red onion in your salsa. If you have yellow or white onions in your pantry, you can also use them. But red onion adds a lovely touch. 

And don’t worry if you’re not a fan of the raw onion smell and taste. The lemon juice and peppers will help suppress it. You can easily enjoy your favorite Chipotle Corn Salsa.

Roasted Poblano Pepper

How to roast poblano pepper? If you’re a beginner and don’t know how to roast poblano pepper, don’t worry, this recipe is for you. Simply switch on your stove and use tongs to place the poblano pepper on the stove. 

After about five to six minutes, the skin will turn black. Then, carefully remove it with a knife. Place it in a bowl, covering it with food wrap for five minutes. After that, you can easily remove the skin and finely chop  

it’s a good idea to cut it in half and remove the white part and seeds to reduce the spiciness. Not everyone enjoys a super hot taste. Once you’ve done that, simply chop it up and add it to your salsa. It’ll add a nice kick of flavor without being too overwhelming.

  • This will give you the exact taste of sweet corn. You can also steam the corn cob if you prefer. 
  • Next, you take 2 poblano peppers and roast them on high flame until the skin turns black. After that, you can cover them with a wrap and let them cool down. Once they’re cooled, you can easily remove the skin and finely chop the peppers. They’ll add a delicious smoky flavor to your salsa.
  • Then you finely chop all the vegetables like red onion, cilantro, and jalapeños. Then, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over them for that tangy flavor.
  • In the last step, you need to take a large bowl and mix the thawed corn, freshly chopped vegetables, lemon juice, and salt in it. Serve it with crispy nachos. Let the salsa cool a bit before eating, it will taste even better.
